Joan Nadine (Sheldon) Freathy

Joan Nadine Freathy of Lakeville, formerly of Bloomington, died peacefully on Friday, October 9, 2020. Joan was born to Carl & Grace (Kline) Sheldon in Swartz Creek, Michigan on January 10, 1931. Joan was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary Loiuse Boyce. Joan is survived by her son, Stephen (Mark Gates) Freathy; daughters, Karen (Pete) Morin and Mary (Don) Hauff; grandchildren, Lauren Freathy, Megan (David) Klein, Heather Hirsbrunner, Gray, Elizabeth, Jean and Ann Hauff; and great-grandchildren, Tayler and Kensi Klein and Jace and Cayden Hirsbrunner. She is also survived by her brother, Carl Sheldon and sister, CaraLynn Taylor. Joan enjoyed spending time with family and friends, teaching, traveling, gardening, cooking and quilting. She expressed her love through the gift of time together and teaching. A private family memorial service is planned.
