“Pops”

Loving Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Uncle, Brother, Friend and Veteran passed away January 27, 2021 at the age of 82.  He died peacefully surrounded in love by his family.  He is preceded in death by his beautiful loving wife, Margaret; his parents, Birdie and Ingman Olson; his brothers, Omar and Gary Olson; and his sister’s, Berl Palmer, Peggy Palma and Orraine Clark.  He will be missed by his son, Cory (Mary) Olson, daughter, Dana (Mike) Jacobs, son, Brian Olson, and daughter, Jodi Olson; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Pops was one of a kind.  His humor and smile will live on in our hearts forever.  We are at peace knowing he is finally reunited with the love of his life, Margaret.   There will be a private service for the immediate family, at 11:00 am, Friday, Feb 5th at Simple Traditions by Bradshaw, 671 Snelling Avenue South, St. Paul MN.  55116.  This service will be streamed live; go to https://www.simpletraditions.com/obituary/Gale-Olson  at 11:00 A.M. to view.    Burial with full military honors will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.   In lieu of flowers, please send a memorial in Gale’s name to Our Lady of Peace Hospice Home, 2076 St. Anthony Avenue, St. Paul, MN.  55104.
