Dana Carrington

Dana Carsten Carrington passed away unexpectedly in his South Minneapolis home on Monday, October 5th at age 59. Dana was a beloved father, partner, brother, uncle, and friend to all who knew him.

Three weeks before he passed, he posted this for his friends and family on Facebook:

"I've said for years that when I die, I've accomplished, and experienced, everything I ever wanted to do. I've raised two amazing, intelligent, and accomplished children, lived in several countries, and risked life and limb as much as I was willing to. I drive 45K miles a year, and that's actually how I expect to go. But who knows? Use every moment, and enjoy, and build on, the time you have. I'm gonna copy this to my Facebook page, because it's something I've been wanting to say for quite a while."

Dana is survived by his children Melissa & Bryce Carrington; brothers Dale (Roxanne) Carrington, and Dean (Bonnie) Carrington; sister Dawn (Frank) Breimhorst; girlfriend Janet Roshar; nieces and nephews; and many friends who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents Rosemary 'Rosie' Evans and Laverne Arthur Marsh 'Mac' Carrington.
