Whitney Gilmore Hauser

Whitney Gilmore Hauser, age 54 of Minneapolis, passed away on Jan. 25, 2020, after a five-month battle with breast cancer.

She is survived by her husband, Dan; her daughter, Sam Gilmore of Pittsburgh; her step-daughter, Lily Hauser of Denver; and her step-son, Peter Hauser of Milwaukee. She is also survived by her mother, Shirley Gilmore of Rosemount; her father, Roger Gilmore of Northfield; her sister, Shannon Gilmore of Apple Valley; her brother, Jason (Renee) Gilmore of Lakeville; her beloved American Staffordshire Terrier, Daisy; and tabby, Mr. Tom.

She was born on April 15, 1965, in Duluth, Minnesota. On June 25, 2010, she married Dan. She loved making soap, photography, sipping Old-Fashioneds, eating sushi, and occasionally dropping the F-bomb.

Memorials for Whitney may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Secondhand Hounds and Our Lady of Peace Hospice Home in St. Paul.

Visitation 2 P.M., Memorial Service 4 P.M., on Saturday February 1, at Simple Traditions by Bradshaw, 671 Snelling Ave. S., St. Paul. An informal get-together and celebration of her life will follow in Apple Valley on date to be determined.
