IN LOVING MEMORY OF TREASURE ALIKAI' JAMES BEAR STOPS-HARVEY July 17, 2026 - September 8, 2026

A Precious Gift from God • Our Beautiful Angel on Earth and Now in Heaven • Our Little King Forever

A LIFE SO PRECIOUS, A LOVE SO ETERNAL

With hearts broken by a loss no parent should ever have to endure, we lovingly remember and honor our precious baby boy, Treasure Alikai' James Bear Stops-Harvey. Though his time on earth was heartbreakingly brief, the love he brought into our lives will remain with us for all eternity.

From the very beginning, his name held a beautiful and meaningful purpose. We chose the name Treasure to remind us always of what a precious gift from God he truly was. He was our blessing, our priceless treasure, and our beautiful baby boy whom we will forever cherish and love. We could never have imagined how profoundly this little soul would transform our lives in such a short time.

Treasure decided to make his arrival into this world earlier than expected, bringing with him a light that would forever change the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him. For seven weeks and four days, we were blessed with the beautiful privilege of being his Mommy and Daddy. Although we wish we could have had a lifetime of tomorrows with him, we will forever be grateful for every precious moment we were given.

A LITTLE BOY WITH A BIG PERSONALITY

Treasure was truly one of a kind. He was a little baby with a grown person's attitude, a personality all his own, and a smile capable of melting anybody's heart. There was something so special about our little boy that made even the simplest moments unforgettable.

He brought love, light, and a special kind of happiness into our days. His presence transformed our world in ways we could never fully explain. He reminded us that the greatest gifts do not have to be big to leave the biggest impact.

And then there were those precious little cries he would let out whenever Mommy stepped away from him for even a second. Those sweet sounds that once called me back to his side will forever be on the playlist of my heart. What might once have seemed like an ordinary moment has become one of the most extraordinary memories I will carry for the rest of my life.

Oh, how I wish I could hear those little cries again, see that beautiful smile one more time, and hold my sweet baby boy close to my heart. Those are the moments that will forever live within me, reminders of a love so pure that not even goodbye can erase it.

Treasure may have been small in size, but the love he gave was immeasurable. In just seven weeks and four days, he left footprints upon our hearts that will never fade. His life will never be measured by the number of days he spent with us, but by the depth of the love he gave and the lasting difference he made simply by being here.

He was here. He was loved. He mattered. And he will never be forgotten.

FOREVER OUR SON, FOREVER OUR TREASURE

As his Mommy and Daddy, we never imagined that our journey with our precious son would lead us to a goodbye so painful. We dreamed of watching him grow, celebrating his milestones, hearing his laughter, and making countless memories together. We imagined a future filled with moments that we now wish we could have shared with him.

Our hearts ache for all the tomorrows we will not experience together here on earth. We grieve the memories we will not get to make, the milestones we will not get to celebrate, and the countless times we will wish we could reach out and hold him again.

Yet, even though our tears, we remain grateful that we were chosen to be the parents of such an extraordinary little soul.

Our beloved son has gained his heavenly wings, but he will forever remain our beautiful angel, both on earth and now in Heaven. We find comfort in our faith in God and in the hope that our precious boy is held in divine love and peace.

Though our arms can no longer hold him, our hearts will never release him. We will carry his name, his smile, his personality, his little cries, and every memory of him wherever life takes us.

Treasure, you will forever be Mommy and Daddys baby boy. You were our precious gift from God, our little light, and our greatest treasure. If love alone could have kept you here, you would have stayed in our arms forever.

Until we meet again, our sweet boy, rest peacefully in Gods loving care. Your little cries will forever echo in our hearts, your smile will forever live in our memories, and your love will forever be a part of who we are.

You were here for seven weeks and four days, but you will be loved for all eternity.

FOREVER HIS FAMILY

Treasure leaves behind a family whose hearts have been forever touched by his life and whose love for him will never end.

A SACRED JOURNEY OF LOVE, FAITH, AND REMEMBRANCE

As we honor Treasures homegoing, we draw strength from our faith in God, the spiritual wisdom and cultural connections of our Lakota-Sioux heritage, and the teachings of compassion, mercy, patience, and trust in God found in Islam.

Though these traditions have their own distinct beliefs and sacred practices, we find common ground in our reverence for life, our love for family, our responsibility to care for one another, and our desire to honor those whose lives have touched ours.

HONORING OUR LAKOTA-SIOUX CONNECTION

Within Lakota traditions, relationships, kinship, respect, and our responsibilities to family and community are deeply meaningful. The understanding of Mitákuye Oyásiŋ, commonly translated as & All My Relations, expresses a sense of connection that reaches beyond the individual and reminds us of our relationships with family, community, the natural world, and the generations that connect us.

As we remember Treasure, we honor the connections that make him forever part of our family. His life has become part of our family's story, and his memory will continue through the love we share, the stories we tell, and the generations who will always know his name.

We carry him with us in our hearts, in our family bonds, and in the love that continues even when someone we cherish is no longer physically beside us.

May the wisdom of our ancestors remind us to care for one another, to honor the preciousness of every life, and to continue forward with love even when our hearts are grieving.

We offer these words in respect for Lakota traditions and recognize that teachings and practices vary among Lakota communities and families.

FINDING COMFORT IN ISLAMIC FAITH

Islam teaches that human beings belong to Allah and ultimately return to Him. During times of profound loss, Muslims are encouraged to turn to Allah for patience, mercy, and strength.

The words traditionally spoken upon receiving news of a death are:

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un.

"Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we will return" - Quran 2:156

These words do not ask grieving hearts to pretend that loss does not hurt. Rather, they acknowledge our dependence upon God and remind us that, even in sorrow, we may turn toward divine mercy.

May Allah grant patience to those who mourn, ease the pain carried by Treasures family, and surround all who grieve with compassion and support.

May the remembrance of God bring peace to troubled hearts, and may the love share with Treasure remains a source of tenderness and strength throughout the family's journey of grief.

FINDING HOPE IN CHRISTIAN FAITH

In our Christian faith, we find comfort in the love of Jesus, the mercy of God, and the hope that death does not erase the love we hold for those who have passed away.

Matthew 19:14 - King James Version

"But Jesus said, suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven"

These words offer comfort as we remember our precious child. They remind us of the special place children hold in the heart of Jesus and give us a verse to turn to when our grief feels too heavy to bear.

As we entrust Treasure to Gods loving care, we pray for the strength to carry his memory forward and the peace to face each day without his physical presence.

We will continue to speak his name, share his story, and honor the beautiful life that changed ours forever.

A PRAYER FOR TREASURE AND ALL WHO MOURN

Heavenly Father, Merciful Creator, and Source of Peace,

With broken hearts, we come before You to honor the precious life of Treasure Alikai' James Bear Stops-Harvey.

Thank You for the beautiful gift of his life, for his precious smile, his unique personality, his little cries, and every moment that allowed us to love him as our son, brother, and family.

Although our time with him was far too short, the love he brought into our lives will remain with us forever.

Lord, comfort his Mommy and Daddy. Hold them close in the moments when grief becomes overwhelming. When the silence where his little cries once filled their home becomes unbearable, surround them with Your peace. When they long to hold their baby boy again, remind them that the love they share with him will forever remain a part of them.

Bless his brothers and sisters, grandparents, extended family, friends, and everyone whose heart is grieving this precious loss. Give them patience with themselves and compassion for one another. Help them find strength in their shared memories and comfort in the knowledge that Treasures life mattered.

May the wisdom of our ancestors remind us of the importance of family and the connections that continue through generations. May the teachings of mercy and patience found in Islam bring comfort to those who seek Allah's guidance. May the love of Jesus and the promises of Scripture strengthen those who lean upon Christian faith.

God, we ask that You surround this family with loving people who will listen without judgment, offer support without conditions, and understand that grief has no timetable.

May Treasure's memory be a light in our darkest moments, a blessing in our family, and a reminder that even the briefest life can leave an everlasting mark upon the world.

We entrust our precious boy to Your mercy and loving care. Help us carry his memory with tenderness, speak his name without fear, and honor his life through the love we continue to give one another.

May peace surrounds all who mourn, may love to sustain all who grieve, and may hope to carry us through the days ahead.

Amen. Ameen. May it be so.

A TRIBUTE TO THE LOVE THAT NEVER DIES

When someone we love passes away, their physical presence may leave our lives, but the love they planted within us does not disappear.

We carry our loved ones in the stories we tell, the traditions we preserve, the lessons we learn, and the memories we revisit when we need to feel close to them. Their influence continues through the people they loved and the lives they touched.

For us, Treasure will always be more than a memory. He will forever be our son, our brother, our family, and our precious little king.

We will remember him when we think about the beautiful meaning behind his name. We will remember him when we smile at the thought of his little personality and that grown person's attitude. We will remember him when we hear a baby's cry and when our hearts long for the sound of his little voice.

We will remember him in quiet moments, on difficult days, during family gatherings, and in the stories, we share with those who will come after us.

His life will continue to mean something because we will continue to love him.

To everyone who has lost someone precious, may you find comfort in knowing that grief and love can exist together. You do not have to stop missing someone to begin finding moments of peace. You do not have to forget to keep living. And you never have to stop speaking the name of someone who changed your life.

Our loved ones become part of our stories in ways that time cannot erase. Their memories live through us, their love continues to shape us, and the bonds we share remain woven into the fabric of our lives.

Today, we honor Treasure and every precious soul who has gone before us. We honor the parents who miss their children, the children who miss their parents, the siblings who miss their brothers and sisters, and the families who must learn to carry love and loss together.

May we continue to love deeply, remember courageously, and support one another tenderly. May we cherish every precious moment we are given and never underestimate the lasting power of a life, no matter how brief.

Treasure, your life was short, but your love will never have an ending. Your name will be spoken, your story will be told, and your memory will live through us for generations to come. You will forever be our precious gift, our beautiful angel, and our little king.
