Stephen Ross Quall, 84 of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota passed away on September 7, 2025 at his home with his family by his side. Stephen (Steve) was born on May 18, 1941 to Willard and Evelyn (Cheney) Quall.
He graduated from Central High School in LaCrosse, Wisconsin in 1959 and went on to earn a BS Degree from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse in 1965.
He started his career as a Computer Programmer for Allis Chalmers. He then accepted a position of Systems Analyst for St. Francis Hospital which is now known as Mayo Clinic. After years as an Analyst, he pursued a career in real estate with Raymond Brothers, and then had the opportunity to become a Restaurateur which he enjoyed until retirement.
In 1965, Steve married Nancy (Nance) MacPhetridge. They settled in LaCrosse, Wisconsin where they raised two sons, Mark and Scott. In 1987, Steve and Nance moved to Minneapolis, MN where they have resided since.
Steve enjoyed going up north to their place on Lake Mille Lacs. He was an avid fisherman and loved catching and eating Walleye. He was very passionate about his Green Bay Packers, never missing a game, and sharing that passion with his sons. He loved listening to music, everything from Elvis to Chris Stapleton. Steve was fascinated with Great White Sharks and never missed an episode of Shark Week.
Steve was kind, gentle, helpful, and had a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.
Steve was preceded in death by his Mother Evelyn, his Sister Judy, and his Father Willard. Steve is survived by his wife, Nance; two sons, Mark and Scott; and relatives.
A celebration of his life will be set for a later date.
