Rosine Wong

1923-2021

Rosine, 98, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2021. She was born and raised in Tuttle, North Dakota. After graduating from high school she moved to Jamestown, ND. There she found employment at the Jamestown Cafe and later married Donald Wong, who passed away in 1991. She and Don owned and worked four different restaurants, the last one being in East Grand Forks, MN, which was sold in the mid 1980’s. Work was in her blood, and she worked at a women’s clothing store in Grand Forks, ND. This was perfect as she enjoyed dressing up for all occasions. After a move to St. Paul, MN, she worked at Fanny Farmer, which was also great because she loved chocolate. When not working she enjoyed reading, putting puzzles together, and playing cards, especially with the Hilites, a senior group.
Rosine was preceded in death by her mother and father, three brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her children, Linda (Lynn) and Dean (Becky); two granddaughters, Jennifer (Garrett) and Megan (David); three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no services. Memorials can be directed to the Minnesota-North Dakota Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association https://www.alz.org/mnnd
