Rosemary Cecile Ruth (Muschinske) Geier was born February 18, 1936, to Erich O. and Anna (Bonke) Muschinske in Merrill, Wisconsin.
She was baptized April 5, 1936, and confirmed April 2, 1954, in Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill, Wisconsin.
Upon the death of her mother (June 1937) and until age 7, she was cared for by her Uncle Erich "Pa" and Aunt Elsie "Ma" Uttech in Merrill, Wisconsin.
She was joined in marriage with Raymond Edward Geier on June 4, 1955. To this union were born seven children: Theresa (Steven) Rodriguez, Bakersfield, California; Mark (Dianne) Geier, Lakeville, Minnesota; Paul (Jocelyn) Geier, Potomac Falls, Virginia; John Geier, Amboy, Minnesota; Virginia Geier, Plainview, Minnesota; Jacquelyn Geier Sesonga, Orlando, Florida; Thomas (Linda) Geier, Springfield, Virginia. Also, nephew Joel Geier was cared for by this family for the three years prior to Ray's death.
After her retirement in 2003, Rosemary moved to Northfield, Minnesota, where she lived until 2022, and subsequently moved to Amboy, Minnesota.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband in 1973; her parents; brothers Philip and Erich; sisters Celestine (Geier) and Patricia (Prahlow); and grandson Timothy. Also preceding her were Uncle Erich and Aunt Elsie; her parents-in-law Fred and Josefine Geier; brothers-in-law Gerhardt and Ralph Geier; sisters-in-law Mavis Geier, Ruth Muschinske, and Joan Muschinske; and Erling and Mathilde Uttech, Duane Uttech, and Alton Uttech.
She is survived by four sons, three daughters, 15 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, brother John Muschinske of Newark, California; Yasuko Uttech of Spokane, Washington; Diane Uttech of Wausau, Wisconsin; brother-in-law Donald Prahlow of St. Louis, Missouri; nieces and nephews; grand nieces and grand nephews.
Rosemary passed away on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Our Lady of Peace Hospice & Home Health Care in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Interment will be at Fort Snelling Cemetery.
