Richard Frank Klick, age 82, of Roseville, Minnesota passed away peacefully April 26, 2025 with his family by his side. Loving husband of 53 years to Diane Klick and devoted father to Joshua (Christine) and Jessica Lawton (Alex). Proud grandpa (affectionately referred to as Jagi) to Emmett, Lucy, Grant and Rex. Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Irene Klick, father and mother-in-law, Don and Helen Spielmann.
Dick served in the Navy 1962-1967 as an aviation electronics technician. After military service, he relished his participation with the Minnesota Junior Chamber of Commerce (JCs) and was keen to contribute. As a family man, he was an avid sports booster for his children and especially his grandchildren. Dick traveled to Green Bay, Wisconsin, so often for grandchildren's events that he could navigate the roads with his eyes closed, almost! Dick treasured family reunions at the Outer Banks, North Carolina, and Holiday Acres, Wisconsin. He enjoyed playing music on a wide variety of instruments that included the concertina, guitar, ukulele, and especially his harmonica. Dick proudly graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2014 (B.S.) at 72 years young. At St. Olaf, Dick cherished lecturing. He valued his membership with the Roseville Optimist Club as well, that included a contribution to "Voices of Optimism" published in 2018. For six years, he enthusiastically co-chaired a golf fundraiser, actively participated in the monthly book club, and appreciated volunteering at the Salvation Army holiday bell ringing.
The family of Richard Klick wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the Veterans Administration Minneapolis health care units, specifically the staffs from the Emergency Room, the Intensive Care Unit, and Hospice Care. Additionally, the family extends a special thank you to the dedicated Rehabilitation staff at The Estates at Roseville. Both healthcare facilities unwavering care and dedication during Richard's stay were invaluable. The family is grateful for the kindness and support you provided during such a difficult time.
