Paula Veronica Hinton, 77, formerly of St. Paul, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at the Olivia Restorative Therapy and Nursing residence in Olivia, Minnesota on September 10, 2025.

Paula graduated from the University of Minnesota with a double major in Social Work and Fine Arts. Her career was in the field of social work where she worked as a case manager. She was a fierce advocate for people in need. 

Paula loved the fine arts and enjoyed painting and drawing. She also enjoyed reading, playing card games and jigsaw puzzles. She loved listening to music. Her favorite musician was Bob Dylan who she listened to for many, many hours during her final weeks. 

Paula was a kind, caring, and giving person. Paula was a devoted mother who always put the needs of her children before her own.

Paula was preceded in death by her son, Francis William Hinton; parents Robert and Helen Hinton; brothers Reginald and Jeffrey. Survived by her daughter, Lauren Hinton; two grandsons Dustin and Owen; sisters Roberta Hinton, Susan (Steve) Carmicle, Theresa Kohn; and many nieces and nephews.

A private memorial will be held.
