Olga Ramos Robles

June 1, 1950 — September 8, 2025

Olga Iris Ramos Robles, a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend, born on June 1, 1950, to her late father, Joe Ramos, and mother, Mercedes Robles, passed away on Monday, September 8th, 2025, at the age of 75.

Olga was the loving mother of one child, Jacqueline Perez. She was very close to Jackie and her two grandchildren, Joseph and Edyth and dedicated her time and energy to loving and caring for her family.

Olga was born in Brooklyn, New York. As a child, she enjoyed spending time with family and one of her favorite pastimes was going dancing with her mother and her cousins. They would dance to salsa music played by live bands in the plaza where they lived in Puerto Rico. She loved gardening and cooking and would often invite others to her home for a meal and to talk about her favorite recipes, plants and other hobbies. Above all, Olga loved people, and would always greet others with a big smile, a hug and the words "I love you!" She had a very warm and compassionate heart, as well as an open, jovial sense of humor. She loved to make people laugh.

To those who knew her, Olga is remembered for her soft, gentle demeanor, her generosity, hospitality, and her faith. During her lifetime, she worked for the public assistance system in New York and would often go above and beyond in serving those seeking assistance. Her compassion shone on her face and was unmistakable to many who looked to her as a friend, and a support. She loved animals and had many birds and dogs over the years. Her parakeet was named Paco, and she had a tiny dog for many years named Sweetie. She doted on them and spoke to them regularly, feeding them from her hand and giving them a lot of love and attention. She was also well known by the staff at her family physician's office because she would bring fresh fruit every time she had an appointment. Sometimes it would be mangoes, sometimes a pineapple, sometimes peaches, it was a fun and welcome gesture on her part, another example of her generosity and the mark she left on people's lives.

She is survived by her grandchildren Edyth and Joseph. She was preceded in death by her daughter Jackie, as well as her father, mother and brother. She was loved very much and is dearly missed by a host of family in New York, Puerto Rico and Florida.

Olga has been a believer in Christ for many years and has held on to the Word of God. She attended the Hispanic Seventh Day Adventist Church of Saint Paul for many years and had many beautiful friendships in this community of faith that were by her side until she took her very last breath. She was also a beloved member of the Two Cities Church in the Twin Cities, and the very first to be baptized in the newly formed Ministerio en español. Her faith in God sustained her hope in his promise, especially in the later years of her life as her health declined. While seemingly untimely and too soon for those who loved her; we take comfort in knowing that she was called home by her Lord and Savior, according to His will.

As we celebrate her life, let us remember Olga's beautiful smile, her generous heart, spirit of gentleness and generosity, and resolve to put her full hope in the Lord as He has now called her into his eternal presence.
