Mona Lisa Langston, born on August 10, 1961, passed away on June 5, 2025. A proud alumna of Mankato State University and Howard University School of Law, Mona dedicated her life to public service, making a significant impact in the fields of law and politics. In her younger years, she worked on Democratic presidential campaigns and had the esteemed privilege of clerking for notable Supreme Court judges in Washington, D.C. Additionally, she devoted much of her time to non-profit work, advocating for causes close to her heart.
Mona was a passionate traveler who cherished the sun, music, and the companionship of her family and pets. She is survived by her mother Marcella, her two daughters, Marcella and Teya; her sisters, Jean and Deb, her brothers, James and Brian, and her four beloved grandchildren. Mona's legacy of kindness and dedication to making the world a better place will forever be remembered by all whose lives she touched.
