Michael “Mike” Joseph Tuminelly, 70, passed away on June 30, 2026, surrounded by family, after a brave battle with cancer, leaving this world infinitely richer for his presence. Mike was an entrepreneur, innovator, explorer, mentor, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. As a founder of Mighty Media, Inc., an inventive technology company, he spent decades transforming ideas into realities and encouraging others to see beyond traditional boundaries. His business successes included interactive youth development, civic engagement, human rights, and service-learning partnerships with various international, national, and local nonprofit organizations. To Mike, every challenge was an opportunity and every conversation a chance to learn something new. His mind was endlessly curious, his optimism contagious, and his imagination boundless. Travel was among his greatest passions. Whether walking the streets of Palermo or discovering a family vineyard off the beaten path in Tuscany, Mike embraced the world with open eyes and an open heart. Yet his proudest times were found in family activities, lifelong friendships, and shared adventures he created for those he loved. Mike leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Nancy, their daughter Francesca (Maclean) Potts, grandchildren Nelle and Colette, and grand dog, Louie. His legacy is one of courage, innovation, generosity, and a belief that the best often comes from daring to think differently.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages everyone to honor Mike’s memory by embracing curiosity, challenging convention, traveling somewhere new, and sharing time with the people they love.
