Manuel Gutierrerz Soto, age 88, passed away at United Hospital, April 30, 2026. He suffered from many ailments.
He was proceeded in death by his wife, Elvira of 45 years, in 2017, parents, Soledad Gutierrez, Pedro Soto Mackintosh, siblings, Carmela Soto Gutierrez, Bertha Soto Gutierrez, Rodolfo Soto Gutierrez, Petra Alicia Soto Gutierrez, Juan Soto Gutierrez, Gilberto Andres Soto Gutierrez, Simon Pedro Soto Gutierez, Jose Luis Soto Gutierrez, in-laws Tony (Lola) Ruiz, Eleanor (Frank) Verdeja, Raul (Lucille) Ruiz, Theresa Huerta, Ruben Ruiz, Lupe (Rudy) Yanez, Joseph Ruiz. Survived By siblings Maria Isobel Soto Gutierrez, Ramon Soto Gutierrez, Maria Guadalupe Soto Gutuierrez, and in-laws, Esperanza (Henry) Yanez, and Amparo (Harry) Gaston and many nieces and nephews.
Manuel was born in Mexico and was married in Minnesota in 1972. Elvira and Manuel lived across the street of Our lady of Guadalupe church where they were active members. They participated in all church events, greeting all the new priests with open arms. Together, they enjoyed church social events, mariachi music, going to local Mexican restaurants and eating good food.
The past 9 years "Manny" lived at the Sanctuary Assisted Living Home. He was very social and made many new friends.
Visitation and Mass will be held on Tuesday May 19th starting at 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mass at 11am, luncheon, and burial to follow.
