Mack was born May 16, 1927, in Dixon Mills, Alabama to the late Richard and Cynthia Pearlie (Moore) Williams. Mack grew up in a home where God was the center of their home. Both his mom and dad lived a long, full and blessed life living off the bounty of the land. Mack grew up on a farm in the deep south during the Great Depression of 1929. Along with 13 brothers and sisters, they never missed a hot meal.
Serenity Prayer: God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
Mack moved to Gary, Indiana in the fifties in search of a better life. He was employed at Lyons Bands and Instruments and Stone Containers for many years. He met and married Corine Powe and later Connie Williams. Through this union, five children were born: Daniel, Larry, Vanessa, Rodney and Randy. He accepted and confessed faith in Jesus Christ at an early age. He was a self-educated man with many talents. Mack enjoyed cooking, sports, politics and current events. He was an avid bowler and card player too. But most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Mack leaves to cherish his memory, five children: Dr. Rev. Daniel Williams Jr, Larry Williams (Annie), Vanessa Williams, Rodney Williams and Randy (Kiesha) Williams; one brother Franklin G Williams, host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren other relatives and friends.
