In Loving Memory of Katharine Veronica LeFebvre
April 10, 1966 - July 12, 2025
With deep sorrow and love, we share the passing of Katharine V. LeFebvre, a beloved grandmother, devoted mother, cherished wife, doting aunt, dedicated sister and courageous woman, who left this world on July 12, 2025, after a brave battle with cancer.
In December 2023, Katharine was diagnosed with colon cancer. She faced her diagnosis with strength, hope, and the fierce determination that defined so much of her life. After undergoing chemotherapy and surgery, she rang the bell in April 2024, joyfully celebrating being cancer-free-a moment that brought immense pride to her family and a glimmer of relief after months of struggle.
Tragically, in June 2024, the cancer returned, this time spreading to her liver and lungs. Though the diagnosis was devastating, Katharine continued to face each day with grace, courage, and love for those around her. She never stopped being the heart of her family-the one everyone turned to for support, laughter, and unconditional love.
Preceded in Death with her father, David McDonald, and grandson, Finley.
She is survived by her loving husband, James; her mother, Lugarda McDonald; her children, Joshua, Joseph, Kristin, Katrina (Augustine) and her grandchildren, Evalynn and Elijah, all of whom brought her endless joy and pride. Katharine was the kind of person who made everyone feel at home, who listened without judgment, and who gave the best hugs. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched and the love she so freely gave.
A Visitation for Katharine will take place at 3PM, on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Simple Traditions by Bradshaw (671 Snelling Ave. S.), followed by a memorial service at 4PM, where all who knew and loved her are welcome to join in honoring her life and memory.
Though her time with us was far too short, the love Katharine gave will live on forever in the hearts of her family and friends. She was our rock, our light, and our home-and we will miss her deeply, every single day.
