Karen Margaret Currier, 75, of St. Paul, Minnesota, passed away on June 16, 2026 from Glioblastoma brain cancer and COPD at Our Lady of Peace Hospice. Preceded in death by her father Leo Burger and mother June (Jim Troje), brother- in-law Gary, and mother-in-law Helen.
Karen was a devoted wife to her husband Ronald Sr. of 53 years. She was a loving mother to three children: Shawn (Amy), Ronny (Stefanie), and Tina (Dave). She had five grandchildren: Skyler, Jared, Elijah, Vesna, and Mika. Her in-laws also meant a lot to her: Harley Jr. (Eany), Richard (Barb), and Debbie.
She loved gardening to the extent she had a botanical wonderland. Neighbors walking would stop by just to see the yard. She enjoyed sitting on the porch visiting with her husband, friends, and family watching nature in her yard. There were many squirrels, rabbits, butterflies, fireflies, and a variety of birds including hummingbirds, that she enjoyed.
As a waitress for many years, she enjoyed socializing and serving others. She worked at many places over the years like Red Lobster and the VFW Bloomington. She supported those who were veterans, police officers, and helped those in recovery. Karen was well known for her cackle laugh, positive spirit, and welcoming heart. Her door was always open if you needed anything.
Karen was strong in her faith of Jesus Christ. She found strength in her Bible readings and devotionals. She was very much at peace with going to heaven. May your memories of Karen bring peace into your heart knowing she is with the Lord and we will meet again one day.
