Joey loved cheeseburgers and tots at Neumann's bar in North St Paul every Tuesday and chocolate chip pancakes every Thursday for dinner. Joey looked forward to Joey's ride every May. He often saw the bikers off on their weekly ride from Neumann's. Every Sunday was purple pride as he cheered his beloved Vikings. He adored his neon family.
Joey loved every moment he shared with his soulmate and cousin Amber.
Joey hated Minnesota's G... D... Snow, but he cherished his Arizona family and the joy of the barbecues, dances, family and friends as well as everything the warm weather offered.
We are grateful for Uncle Pete, Aunt Nancy, Lizzie, Mason, Frank, and MONA for their love and commitment throughout his brave battle with Cancer. Special thank you to Auntie Margie, for your unwavering love throughout Hospice, and to Minnesota Oncology Maplewood, Mayo Clinic, Bone Marrow Transplant, and Beyond Hospice for your diligence during his care.
Thank you to everyone who sent cards and calendars during his journey; this provided immeasurable joy and smiles during an otherwise tough fight.
Joey's legacy begins with us. We must continue to share kindness, unfiltered love, joy, acceptance, and inclusion with never-ending strength every day.
Joey: YOU ARE SO BRAVE, STRONG, COURAGEOUS, AND YOU ARE MY HERO!
