Jennifer Poplawski

Jennifer Poplawski (née Maier) passed away in Edina, Minnesota on September 9, 2025, at the age of 74. She was born in Racine, Wisconsin, on August 8, 1951, to the late John David and Bernice (née Weinzierl) Maier.

After devoting many years to raising her family, Jennifer embarked on a new chapter by returning to school to become a registered nurse. She worked in the nursing field for over a decade before moving to Minnesota in 2009 to be closer to her grandchildren.

In her later years, Jennifer embraced a simpler life, finding comfort in her daily routines of gardening, discussing politics, and relaxing with her favorite television shows. Though her world was close-knit, those who knew her recognized her independence and strength-qualities that left a lasting impression.

Jennifer's life was a testament to resilience, care, and the quiet beauty of everyday moments.

She is survived by her children, Matthew (Kerry) Geiger, Marcus (Abby) Poplawski, and Christina (Jakub) Andrzejewski; her grandchildren, Marek and Greta Poplawski and David and Adam Andrzejewski; and her siblings, Carolyn Hollowood-Johnson and Kimberly Hendrickson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Michael Maier, and her granddaughter Elise Poplawski.

In keeping with her wishes, a private memorial will be held.
