Jennifer Oehrlein

1976 — 2025

Jennie, age 49, passed away peacefully with her family around her at her home in St. Paul. She had been ill for several years, in and out of the hospital. With no more treatment options, Jennie decided to enter hospice care. We are so grateful for the time we had to love, laugh with, and care for her during her last five weeks.

Jennie was born on February 9, 1976, at 7:41 pm. Beautiful baby girl, she was the first grandchild of the Linscheid family, and was so loved and spoiled. Her family lived in Maplewood, and she attended North St. Paul High School, graduating class of 1994. Active in church as a young girl, she asked Jesus into her heart and was baptized at the age of 11 at Trinity Baptist Church, where she was later active in the youth group with good friendships. She loved Trout Lake Camp in the summers and later cherished her time as a counselor there.

Jennie married Thor on July 24, 1999, and they became inseparable. They settled as a family of 7 in St. Paul. She created a safe and warm home for the family she loved, always treating her stepdaughter and stepson as her own. She was a stay-at-home mom, helped manage the family business, and ran daycare for other children, including her grandson, Carter. The family shares many fond memories of adventures together. The home was full of life and love, making it a welcome gathering place for friends, family, and neighbors.

As the kids got older, Jennie and Thor explored new adventures. They spent weekends in their camper at Hay Creek, MN, they ran karaoke shows at many places, including the American Legion on Arcade St., where she secured her favorite job as a bartender. More recently, they purchased a place on Harris Lake-her happy place-where she enjoyed relaxing by the water with her three dogs, husband, and friends. No matter where they went, they made friends and created memories together.

Jennie was full of life, humor, and sass, and she had such a generous heart. She loved deeply and was deeply loved. She made a profound impact on many lives and will be missed.

Jennie is preceded in death by grandparents Helen and James Jenkins, Eleanor and Royce Linscheid, aunts Lila and Fay, mother-in-law Judith Solmonson. She is survived by husband Thor, daughters Courtney, Lexi, Torrie, stepdaughter Alaina (Shaunie), stepson Christian, grandsons Carter, Wyatt, Myles, parents Jim and Cindy Jenkins, and loving sister, Jessica Jenkins (Travis), niece Josie. She was also loved by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

In accordance with Jennie's wish, guests are encouraged to wear bright colors that feel comfortable to them, celebrating her vibrant spirit and love of life.
