Henry Dean Gabrielson

Aug 12, 1955 — Sep 30, 2026

Henry Dean Gabrielson, age 71, of Saint Paul, Minnesota, formerly of Virginia, Minnesota, passed away on September 30, 2026.

Dean was born in Virginia, Minnesota, where his parents had grown up, and spent the first 12 years of his life there. He was proud of his paper route delivering the Minneapolis papers which earned him trips to see the North Stars & Twins play in the cities. He moved to Bellevue, Washington when he was 12, then back home to Minnesota where he attended Mounds View High School. He spent his adult life in Saint Paul, Minnesota where he raised four children and ran a successful business.

Dean loved collecting and learning about things he found interesting and then would love to share them with all he met. Throughout the Twin Cities you will find selenite eggs at his favorite restaurants, copies of Yertle the Turtle by Doctor Seuss, sky lanterns, giant bubble kits, hematite spheres, the movie Crash, and the book Cry Wolf among other various and sundry products he wanted other people to experience. He will be greatly missed.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Berg Gabrielson and Sigrid Elizabeth Gabrielson (Erickson); his brother, David Brian Gabrielson; and his son, Graham Lewis Gabrielson.

He is survived by his children, Rachel Aster, Katryna Sonnen, and Lucas Gabrielson, and six granddaughters.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Zion Lutheran Church, 1697 Lafond Ave., Saint Paul, MN 55104. A luncheon will follow the service.
