Geraldine LeNore "Bearzey" (Simberg) Blue
October 29, 1943 - March 10, 2026
Geraldine LeNore "Bearzey" (Simberg) Blue, of St. Paul, MN, passed away on March 10, 2026, after a long, hard battle with cancer. Bearzey was known for her love of collecting pandas, feeding peanuts to squirrels, and finding the best deals at both Goodwill and Savers. She spent her life always surrounded by her many beloved pets, including her two kitties, Ma Kitty and Mollie "Moosey," who stayed by her side until the very end.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy A. Simberg Sr. and Vera M. Piedmont; her seven siblings, Roy Simberg Jr., Barbara Schramm, Gordon "Pete" Simberg, Margaret "Penny" Simberg, Tracy Simberg, Christopher Piedmont, and Scott "Buzzy" Piedmont; and her four nephews, Gordon Darby, James "Jimbo" Venable, Ben Schramm, and Nick Schramm. She is survived by her four children, Christopher A. (Mary) Blue, Susan E. (John) Liljedahl, Brian A. Blue, and Robyn E. (Jose) Portillo; nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Ryan, Courtney, Lacie, Jessie, Dakotah, Jacob, Nathan, and Brandon; nine great-grandchildren; her sister, Judith Venable; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
The family would like to thank Minnesota Oncology and Hospice of the Midwest for their support during her battle.
A special thank you to Robyn, who gave Bearzey many years of care and adventures until the very end. Wocka Wocka.
Please join Bearzey's family for a Celebration of Life on April 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the American Legion in North St. Paul, MN.
