Georjean DeRosia Schwartz

Georjean Derosia Schwartz, age 77, of Cottage Grove, passed away surrounded by her family, on October 31, 2026.

Raised in St. Anthony, Georjean had a big heart and always tried to see the good in people. Upon graduation from Hill Murray High School, she went on to study nursing at the University of Minnesota. Georjean received her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse, and dedicated 30 years to the profession.

Georjean loved the simple things in life - a hot cup of coffee, garage sales, being present with people. She enjoyed many hobbies, including fishing, music, and bowling. Her love of music was reflected in the karaoke business that she started with her husband, Jerry. They made all sorts of friends along the way. Animals were very important to her as well, and she had particular concern for neglected animals. Her dog, Libby, was her last great pooch.

She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and deep love for her family. 

Georjean was widowed by Lee DeRosia and Gerald Schwartz and is preceded in death by her child, Nicole; parents, Matthew and Lorna Clark; and siblings, Matthew and Mark. Survived by her children, Marc (Jenni), Matthew, John, Aimee (Justin); grandchildren, Sean (Alexandria) Michael, and Luc; great-grandchild, Layla; siblings, Diane (Mark) Ronald, and Daniel (Connie); nephews, Matthew C., Michael C., Anthony C., and Brice S.; niece, Anna (Wade) and family friend, Vincent.

Visitation at 10AM, on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at Simple Traditions by Bradshaw (671 Snelling Ave. S., St. Paul). Celebration of Life at 11AM. Luncheon to follow at DeGidio's Restaurant in St. Paul.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family preferred.
