Elizabeth Strain

Strain, Elizabeth (Betty) J. (Née Wirtz), age 81, of Saint Paul, passed on October 14, 2023.

Preceded in death by husband James; parents Ernest & Ida Mae, daughter Catherine; and siblings Frank, George, Paul, Joan, David, Jane, Theresa, Rosemary and Lawrence.
Survived by daughter Kathleen, siblings Michael (Chris), Diane, Maryann, Ernie, Steven & Louise; many nieces and nephews especially Diane, Beth, Mike & Bonnie.

Betty was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt. She was a strong, caring person who dedicated much of her life looking after others. She especially loved taking care of babies and was the guardian Angel to many in her lifetime. She was an excellent cook & baker; loved decorating the house for every holiday and sharing stories about her life growing up and our family. She had great faith in Jesus, Mary and devotion to the Holy Rosary. She was the moon and stars to many. She was dearly loved and shall be dearly missed.

There will be a Mass of Christian burial Wednesday, October 18, 2023, 10:00 AM at the Cathedral of Saint Paul, 239 Selby Ave., Saint Paul, MN 55102, with a visitation beginning at 9am. An Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
