Dorothy E. Pearson July 27, 1938 - September 5, 2026

Dorothy Elizabeth (née Peterson) Pearson, 88, of New Brighton, MN passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at North Memorial Hospital, Robbinsdale.

Born in Moose Lake, MN to Carl and Helga Peterson, Dorothy was the youngest of three children. In August of 1960, Dorothy married her true love, Clinton Pearson, in Moose Lake, and lovingly established a life together in the Twin Cities for over 66 years.

Dorothy was an elementary school teacher, starting her career with the Mounds View School District and finishing her time teaching at Spring Lake Park Schools, from where she retired in 1998.

Dorothy's passion was to catch sporting events as often as she could, especially basketball. Dorothy was a sports fanatic who loved to be at, watch on television, or support a sport from afar. Not only a professional sports fan, but Dorothy also enjoyed watching her two sons participate in many sports throughout the years and all of her grandchildren's games or events. No sporting event was too far away for her and Clint to drive to.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Barbara Carlson, her brother, Allen Peterson and his wife, Darlene.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Clinton Pearson, and sons, Robert Pearson (Bree Lysne), Randall (Angell) Pearson, and four grandchildren, Mariah (Tyler) Almberg, Makenna (Isaiah) Rollins, Anna Pearson, Easton Pearson, and one great grandchild, Luna Almberg. She is also survived by Machelle Rieck, the mother of Mariah and Makenna.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 pm, on Thursday, October 15th, at Salem Covenant Church, 2655 5th St NW, New Brighton, MN 55112.
