David "Pete" Vick

David Allen Vick (Pete), 64, of Cottage Grove Minnesota, passed away on September 21st, 2025. Pete was born in Cottage Grove, to Siguard Gustave Jr and Janet Vick. Pete's greatest passions were spent outdoors. He loved all kinds of fishing, hunting, and snow mobiling. In his later years of life he loved to tinker in the garage organizing all of the things he kept holding memories from his past adventures. He had a great love for Springer dogs and Doc, his beloved dog. Pete spent much time at his farm in South Dakota. You could often find Pete in the garage detailing all sorts of cars, trucks and boats. He and his wife, Celeste Vick loved taking road trips and went on many different adventures together. He traveled anywhere and each trip was special to him because his wife was there by his side.

When he and Celeste were not traveling they loved to spend time together at Pawn shops and thrift stores. He had a passion for finding unique things and turning them into his valuables. He was always telling jokes and made new friends everywhere he went. Pete not only was a remarkable husband and friend but also a loving father. He spent many days with his children and grandchildren outdoors. He held onto those special memories with his family very close to his heart. Pete was a member of Teamsters local 320. During his time being a member he worked for Coca Cola, delivered cars to dealerships, and was a detailer for boats for many years.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Celeste Vick; his children, Bobby Vick (Anne), Bryan Vick (Colleen), Cherie Vick (Jordan Hawley), and Maxwell Richardson (Morgan Shambaugh); and his cherished grandchildren, Kaylee, Shelby, Shiann, Shaun, Brylee, Mya, Savanna, and Dakota; His brother Larry Vick.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Siguard Gustave Jr, Janet Vick, and his sister Barbara Pilot. Gone too soon and never forgotten. His wishes were for donations to be made to https://www.alz.org/ so that others with Alzheimer's Disease also have a fighting chance to survive.

A celebration of life will be held on October 12th, 2025 1:00-5:00pm at VFW Post 1350 2483 7th Ave E North St. Paul.
