St Paul

Darrel William Henton, age 62, of St. Paul, Minnesota, went to be with the Lord on January 5, 2026. He was born on October 10, 1963, in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Darrel was the oldest of six children and truly the best big brother. He had the most caring and loving heart and deeply loved his siblings. He shared an especially close and meaningful bond with his sister Brenn, who lovingly took care of him. Darrell loved his Godson Zackariah like his own son and enjoyed their special trips to the state fair and made his dream trip to an NFL football game together. They shared a close special bond that forever will be cherished. Darrel retired from Yellow Cab Company after 34 years of dedicated service. He was a passionate sports fan who loved football, basketball, baseball, hockey, etc. He was a huge Green Bay Packers fan. He also enjoyed horse racing and taking gambling trips to Las Vegas, which brought him much excitement and joy.

Darrel was preceded in death by his brother Rick W. Henton, with whom he shared a birthday, and his grandmother Bernice Henton.

He is survived by his loving family: his mother Jacqueline (Jackie) Sigsworth; brother Frank Sigsworth; sister Brenn Duerr-Apfelbacher (Jeff Apfelbacher); Leonard (Lenny) Sigsworth; Kristine Sigsworth and uncle William (Billy) Henton; and many nieces and nephews.

Darrel was also preceded in death by what he lovingly called his “second family”: his second mother Marion Westlund; his childhood lifelong friend Ray Westlund, whom he called his brother; and sister Dawn (Paul) Derry. He is survived by his second family: brother Kurt (Sandie) Westlund; sister Brandy (Jason) Asher; along with many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.

Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Natthan Baker, Trinity. Additional service details will be announced by the family.

Darrel will always be remembered for his famous line,
"I ain't gonna lie,"

but most of all for his kindness, adventurous spirit, love for children, and deep devotion to his family and friends. He will be forever remembered, cherished, and dearly missed by all who knew him.
