Curtis James "CJ" Miller
Curtis James Miller, lovingly known as CJ and affectionately called "Crab" by his sons and nephews, finished his journey at the age of 40. He will be remembered as a kind, soft-spoken man with a gentle soul and a heart full of love for those around him. CJ was a selfless, devoted, and caring family man who took pride in his family and his work. He was a dedicated union carpenter for Flannery Construction, where he worked alongside his uncle, Larry, for many years. He also cherished his colleagues, many of whom he cared for and respected like family. He was recently promoted and was very proud of that!
CJ dearly loved his four children-Curty, Carter, Carson, and Jackson (Boos)-his life partner, Jen, and their dogs. Some of his happiest moments were spent cheering on the San Francisco 49ers with his kids and his favorite aunt, Evy, and cheering his children on from the sidelines at their football games. He also treasured time with family-fishing, camping, or simply hanging out, catching up, and enjoying one another's company. He loved his siblings, nieces, nephews, and in-laws, and shared a special bond with his lifelong best friend, Tone.
CJ is survived by Jen and his sons; his stepdad, Dan; his siblings, Heidi (Dan), Jamie, and Danny (Nicole); his stepbrother, Mitch (Jaime); his stepsister, Marissa; his many nieces and nephews; his cherished cousins, aunts, and uncles; and his lifelong best friend, Tone.
He was preceded in death by his dad, James Miller, and his mom, Faith Hutterer, whom he loved with all his heart. Faith passed away just six days before him, a heartbreaking loss that deeply affected him.
His warmth, hugs, quiet kindness, and gentle presence touched many lives. CJ will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of his family, friends, coworkers and dogs.
