Chalin Riley Marcum
July 15, 2001 - June 3, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Chalin Riley Marcum, who left this world far too soon on June 3, 2025, at the age of 23.
Born on July 15, 2001, Chalin lived a life marked by kindness, resilience, and a heart that was simply too big for this world. He had a gift for making others feel seen, heard, and loved-whether through a warm smile, a thoughtful word, or a quiet act of generosity that spoke volumes about who he was. He was funny and could always make you laugh with his silly personality. He was so smart and always figured out what needed to be done despite the situation.
Chalin was preceded in death by his biological father, Jason Cody Marcum, who passed in 2002 and his grandpa Jason Marcum. He is survived by his loving mother, Amber Vosejpka, dad Justin Vosejpka; and his beloved sisters, Brinley Vosejpka, Kylah Vosejpka, Paisley Bistodeau, and Adley Bistodeau, all of whom he loved deeply. His connection with them was rooted in loyalty, tenderness, and a sense of protection that defined much of who he was.
He is also lovingly remembered by his dear Naw Naw, Tena Watson - Miller, whose unwavering love and presence grounded him throughout his life. He is cherished by his Paternal Grandma Terri Marcum, his Aunt Shawna Sandoval and Aunt Krystin Marcum. Above all else, Chalin cherished being a father to his beautiful daughter, Norah Switzer, who brought joy, pride, and light to his life. Her life was a blessing to him and always will be.
Chalin was a believer in the Lord and walked in faith. His relationship with God gave him strength, peace, and purpose, and it shone through in the way he treated others-with love, patience, and compassion and teaching.
Chalin's life was full of the simple joys that brought him closer to the people he loved. He enjoyed cookouts, camping, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, and spending quality time with his family and friends. He loved playing hockey and basketball and never passed up a chance for a good card game-especially Skip-Bo, with his mom. Time with those closest to him was what he treasured most.
To know Chalin was to experience the warmth of his giant heart. He gave freely of himself to friends, family, and even strangers-always believing that love and kindness could be a healing force in a sometimes painful world. He had a quiet way of lifting others up, often without them even realizing it until they looked back and saw just how deeply he had touched their lives.
Though his time here was short, the legacy of his heart will live on in the countless lives he brightened and the love he left behind.
