Celia Rodriguez, 85, of (Brownsville, Tx), formerly of (Matamoros, Tam.

Mexico), entered eternal rest on June 4, 2026.

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Great- Great - Grand Mother. Celia loved her family, crafting, cooking, baking, music, and dancing. She had a passion for volunteering, holding the position of president of the Brownsville chapter of the Family Outreach program through the United Way for several years.

Preceded in death by Benito Rodriguez - Husband, Maria Elena Peña - Daughter, Sisters: Aurora, Elvira, Maria, Brothers: Ramon, Juventino

Survived by Juan Peña/ Juana Peña, Maria Ester Pena/Humberto Morales, Raul Guadalupe Rodriguez/Norma Rodriguez, Benito Rodriguez, Jr. / Lupita Rodriguez, Pablo Francisco Rodriguez/Marta Rodriguez, Salvador Rodriguez, Celia Rodriguez-Hild/Melanie Rodriguez-Hild, Julio Cesar Rodriguez/Jolene Rodriguez, Sandy Rodriguez/Rigoberto Perez, (sisters: Irma Medina, Yolanda Arredondo, Teresa Rocha), (Brothers: Ramiro Medina, Alfonso Medina, Pablo Medina, Antonio Medina)

Celia Rodríguez, de 85 años, de Brownsville, Texas, anteriormente de Matamoros, Tamaulipas, México, entro a su eterno reposo el 4 de junio de 2026.

Amada esposa, madre, abuela, bisabuela y tatarabuela. Celia amaba a su familia, las manualidades, cocinar, hornear, la música y el baile. Tenía una gran pasión por el voluntariado y ocupó durante varios años el cargo de presidenta del capítulo de Brownsville del programa Family Outreach a través de United Way.

Le precedieron en la muerte su esposo, Benito Rodríguez; su hija, María Elena Peña; sus hermanas, Aurora, Elvira y María; y sus hermanos, Ramón y Juventino.

Agradecemos de todo corazón al hogar de ancianos North Ridge Nursing Home y a North Memorial Hospice. Reconocemos especialmente a todos los asistentes de enfermería (CNA) de North Ridge que cuidaron con cariño y dedicación a Celia. Un agradecimiento especial a Patrick Magbe y Aminata Turay.
