Age 80 of St. Paul, MN, passed away peacefully surrounded by family March 14, 2024. She is preceded in death by husband James Long, father of 3 daughters Charles Casey, father Frank Eha, mother Lynne Pelletier; stepsiblings Diane Eha Bungue, Frank Eha and Isabelle Hernandez; and stepson James Long. Carole is survived by daughters Christine Casey Wawrzaszek (Steff), Cathleen Casey Olson (Eric), Colleen Casey (Kurt); stepdaughter Jennifer Long Bowman (Reed); grandchildren Jonathan (Madison), Kate, Matthew, Emily, Benjamin, Paige; great-granddaughter Noelle and many other family members and friends.
Carole grew up in St. Paul, MN and graduated from St. Paul Central in 1961. She earned her degree in Business Administration at the College of St. Catherine's in 1988 at the age of 45. Professionally, Carole pursued many opportunities. Carole's career highlight was serving as a National Consultant in project management training K-12 staff on site.
Carole retired at age 59, focusing on traveling to 23 countries and volunteering at Como Zoo. She enjoyed live jazz music and theatre. Carole was a life-long learner, diving deep into her Book Club and Bridge Club. She was committed to her monthly cousin luncheons. Carole was an amazing cook and hosted several themed dinners for her family.
At age 62, Carole married the boy next door, James Long. They celebrated several years gardening and traveling with family.
Carole will be remembered for her dear friendships and love of family. She was always eager to entertain friends and family. Carole went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome.
Celebration of Life Service will take place at Bradshaw Funeral Home, 4600 Greenhaven Drive, 55127 on Saturday, 3/30 at 11 a.m. with a visitation an hour prior and burial at Acacia Cemetery following, 2151 Pilot Knob Rd, Mendota Heights, MN 55120.
