Carmen K. Sanchez (Cruz)

Carmen Sanchez (Cruz) 83 passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of family and friends.  Preceded in death by parents Luz and Erlinda Sanchez, 2 sisters Jaunita and Julia and niece Linda. Survived by daughter Gail and two sons Rick and John, brother Tom, sister Susie, 7 grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. 

Born January 29, 1943, Lived a long and meaningful life marked by kindness, strength and devotion to those she loved. She touched many lives through her warm spirit and unwavering love for her family.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She will be remembered for her laughter, words of wisdom, sense of humor and the many cherished memories she created with family and friends throughout her 83 years.

She was an avid reader of everything of interest and of not so interesting but of curiosity. She was always open to learning something new primarily diet, exercise and nutrition. Reading is power she once told me. She had a vast knowledge of many things. Enjoyed road trips to nowhere just seeing the countryside and stopping for a burger. She enjoyed having pets, doing a sudoku and a good action movie with popcorn. 🍿

Service arrangements:

A celebration of her life will be held on July 15, 2026, at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church starting at 1:00pm, 200 E Church St. Belle Plaine, MN 56011.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to No Kill Humane Society or No Kill Animal Rescue center.
