Anna Mary Nordstrom

Anna Nordstrom (nee Mannarino) passed away peacefully on December 9, 2023, at her St Paul home with family by her side. She lived a rich and full 99 years.

She was the fifth of the ten children born to Phillip and Rose Mannarino, of St Paul's Eastside. Anna was married to Harold Nordstrom for 35 years at the time of his passing in 1977. Together they had eight children, all of whom survive her: Annette Rebecca Nordstrom, Rose Potter of Virginia, Susan White (Larry), Mary Gillispie (Jim) of Baltimore, Terri Becker (David) of Pennsylvania, Anne Peterson (Gary) of Isle, Helaine Collova and Tom Nordstrom.

She adored her eighteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Family members who have passed in addition to her beloved husband, are her nine siblings and a granddaughter, Melissa. Anna was engaging, and caring. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to share stories with friends, family, as well as strangers. A fantastic baker, her cookies created cherished memories for the grandkids and a plateful was always ready for visitors. When she wasn't baking, she had a zest for travel, whether visiting her daughters on the East Coast or her brothers in California. Since the late nineties, Anna spent the better part of each year at her daughter Rose's home in Virginia. She enjoyed the warmer winters there. She returned to St. Paul to spend her final months with her Minnesota family.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from 3pm to 7pm at Simple Traditions Bradshaw 488 Humboldt Ave, St Paul, MN 55107.

A Catholic mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at St Stanislaus Church 398 W Superior St, Saint Paul, MN 55102 with visitation from 10am until the time of the service at 11am. There will be a luncheon immediately after the service followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery.
