Paula Garcia

Age 90 Died Suddenly on Monday Oct. 7, 2013 Preceded in death by, father Dolores Rodriguez, mother Sorocco Meddlin Rodriguez, brother Florentino Rodriguez, Salome Rodriguez, brother Knapp Rodriguez, baby Alexander and baby Natalie. Paula is survived by her loving partner of 31 years Merced Rojas, her daughter Lana, her grandchildren, Bobby (Alisha) Nikki and Matthew, great grandson Jeff. Her sister Caroline Rodriguez (Joe) her brothers Luis Rodriguez (Rita) Dolores Rodriguez Jr. (Jane) James Rodriguez (Carmita) and many nieces and nephews. Paula is well known as the former owner of Paula's Cocina on the old West Side. Recently her and Merced owned and operated La Esperanza Mexican Restaurant in South St. Paul. She was also a long time resident of the old West Side. Anyone who knew Paula knew her Mexican food to be the best! Paula was a hard worker and she and Merced enjoyed feeding everyone with their good food! She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be on Thursday October 10th 2013 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe on Concord St in St Paul. Mass to immediately to follow then burial at Resurrection Cemetery.
